What mistakes do you make when you prayer?

  1. Are you prone to mindless babbling when you pray?
  2. Do you walk on eggshells with God feeling like He can't be bothered with you?
  3. Do you find yourself demanding specifics especially regarding the how and when you feel God should answer your prayers?
  4. Is it hard for you to believe that God would even hear anything you've got to say?

These are all common mistakes we make that can steal the rest and joy prayer is supposed to bring into our lives. Using the Lord Jesus' prayer from Matthew 6:7-15 as a framework for how to talk with our Heavenly Father will help us correct the mistakes we make and revitalize our prayer lives!

Take a few minutes a couple times this week to think through these sections of scripture. Ask God to reveal any mistaken ways you're praying and seek His help to find joy and delight in waiting upon Him for answers to your prayers!
